Obituary of Irma Dolores Padilla
Irma Dolores Padilla ”Dee Dee”, beloved wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away on July 22, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on January 22, 1960 in Los Angeles CA, to Rudy Arangua and Lidia Lucero. When she was 6 months old she raised by her aunt and uncle Maria and Raul Ramierez. When she was 16 she moved in with her dear aunt and soon after met the love of her life Cruz Padilla.
They were married on January 31, 1981 and 5 months later welcomed their first born baby Selina Padilla-Jauregui. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared a life filled with love and joy. She is survived by sisters Theresa Ruiz, Cynthia Arangua and Maria Rodriguez, brothers Michael Arangua, Paul Henson and Anthony Arangua, her devoted husband Cruz, her cherished children Selina (David), Maria (Nicholas), Alicia, Cruz, and Josephine, and her adored grandchildren Nathan, Lucas, Lilyann, Victoria, Jennie, Emily, and Noah. Irma was also a beloved cat mom to her fur babies Carrots, Bandit, Gracie, and Frito who all deeply miss their mama.
Despite not graduating from high school, Irma carved out a successful and fulfilling career in mortgage banking for Washington Mutual and later for Chase bank. Her dedication, hard work, and perseverance were evident in all she did.
Irma's greatest joy in life was her family. She lived for her children and grandchildren and considered them her very best friends. Her love, guidance, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A service to honor Irma's life will be held at Trinity Church, 1150 O’Melveny Ave San Fernando, CA 91340 on August 30th 2024 with a 10 AM viewing and 11AM service to follow. Attendees are asked to incorporate the color yellow in their attire for the services as it was Irma’s favorite color. In lieu of flowers please donate to the gofundme in support of her family during this trying time.
Reception will be held following the service.
Irma brought warmth, love, and kindness to everyone she met.
Irma's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
