He was a man for all seasons. He was a rock for his family for his church family and in his community. The kind of man who is always in the right place doing the right things. The kind of man who knew what is important in life and worked at the important pursuits.

My uncle Lester was one of the most selfless, caring, soft-spoken, and loving men I've ever known. He was a true gentleman who loved and cared not only for his immediate family, but his extended family as well. I have many fond memories of my times with him. His love of music was a source of enjoyment between us, and his decades-long collection of every weekly Billboard music chart is legendary. During one visit to West Virginia, The Beatles' "All You Need Is Love" had just been released and it was a very fun time playing it over and over together, no doubt to the chagrin of my parents and my aunt Mary. I was a radio disc jockey at the time and Lester took me to the local Top 40 station to meet the personalities there. I have so many fond memories of Lester and I love him dearly. Now he's reunited with his wife, my aunt Mary, where I'm sure there was a joyous reunion.
