Obituary of Demond Duane Irby

Demond Duane Irby Sr., born July 3, 1975, known to most as "Shorty "D", made his peaceful transition August 26, 2023. Though his journey was cut short, he was loved by many.

Demond accepted Christ into hislife and was baptized at First Fellowship Baptist Church WI, February of 2015. He attended school in Chicago and Waukegan, Il areas. He later went to further his education at Barber School in Virginia Beach, VA.

At a young age, Demond loved his father's records and turntables. This love developed his passion and love for LOUD music. This love of music gave him the longing to want to learn more, this is when he turned to DJ "Captain 2 Fresh" to learn as much as he could to be a DJ on his own. Demond and his older brother Tony became the known DJ's of all family and friend's events, especially "Shack Parties."

Demond is survived by his children, Thaddeus Richardson, DeNayah Irby and Demond Irby Jr., his parents; Leonard Irby and Sharman Irby, his siblings; Tony (Lynn) Irby Sr. and sister Shaquita(George) France, Nieces and Nephews; Tony Irby It., Kevin Edwards, Nicole Formella, Breanne Rhinchouse, Keveon Irby, Jazmyn Irby, Jayla Irby and GeNiva France, Great Nephew, Karson Irby best friend, Wydell Mcknight and a host of family including aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Demond was preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents; Joseph Williams and Lottic May Williams, Paternal Grandparents; Sam Irby Jr., Velma Adams and an abundance of very close relatives.
