I knew Rick since 3rd or 4th grade, although we were not in contact much after high school. We exchanged emails a few years ago briefly. His artistic talents were evident from a pretty early age. I'm sorry to learn that he has passed. My condolences to all the family. David Coulon Burns

"D" met you at a convention in the '90's, didn't have my comic books with me. I asked you if I could treat you to lunch and could bring my comic books back. I was a Jr Marine and didn't have a lot of money so I went to McDonald's, got a burger and fries, went and got my comics and came back and hung out with you while you signed them all. That started the friendship, helped you move from your studio and you introduced me to Lolly and welcomed me into your family. My family and I will all miss you.
