Obituary of Phyllis Ann Lane

Phyllis Ann Lane, 83, of Santa Clarita, California, passed away on October 1, 2023 in Sunland, California.  

Phyllis was born in Imperial, Nebraska to Theron and Lucille Crandall on January 10, 1940.  When she was a young child, her family moved to Southern California.  At the age of 16, Phyllis graduated from San Fernando High School.  

Phyllis worked most of her adult life, first as a dental assistant, then with her husband Gary as they built a successful Amway business. Phyllis and Gary celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary earlier this year.  

Phyllis was an accomplished seamstress and made both her daughters’ wedding gowns as well as gowns for the bridesmaids.  She was equally as talented at knitting and crochet. In her later years, it was spending time with her grandchildren that brought her the most joy.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Gary, her daughters, Cindy (Fred) Tabacchi and Victoria Waldorf, five grandchildren, and her niece and nephew.  She is preceded in death by her sister, Kay (Jerry) Brown, and her parents, Theron Crandall and Lucille Crandall.

A graveside service will be held at Oakwood Memorial Park, 22601 Lassen St, Chatsworth, CA 91311 on Monday, October 16 at 11:30.  Rose Family Funeral Home in Simi Valley will be handling the arrangements.
