Obituary of Elizabeth Magdolna Bonyhady

Elizabeth Bonyhady, 83, of Thousand Oaks, CA, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 28, 2023.  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday September 13th at 1:30pm at the San Fernando Mission Cemetery. 

She was born in 1940, and moved to California with her family in the 1950s.  She earned a teaching credential in 1970 and spent the next 32 years teaching elementary school children in the Los Angeles Unified School District.  Even after she retired, she continued working with children in religious education at her local parish.

A talented amateur artist, Elizabeth was skilled at drawing, painting, scrapbooking and other paper crafts, as well as crocheting and woodworking.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Kalman and Anna Bonyhady, her older brother Kalman, and her older sister Anna.  She is survived by her younger brother Imre, her nieces Marianne and Gabriella, and her nephew Imre.
